Sequential Turn Signal
A sequential turn signal is a type of automotive turn signal system that is designed to provide a more visually appealing and attention-grabbing indication of a vehicle's intended direction of travel. Instead of simply flashing on and off like a traditional turn signal, a sequential turn signal illuminates different sections of the light assembly in a sequential pattern, usually in the direction of the turn.
For example, when the driver activates the right turn signal, the sequential turn signal system will first illuminate the outermost section of the right tail light assembly, followed by the middle section, and then the innermost section, creating a flowing, sweeping motion that draws the eye and signals the driver's intention to turn.
Sequential turn signals can be found on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and motorcycles, and are often included as a premium or optional feature on higher-end models. They are generally considered to be a more visually appealing and effective way of signaling a turn than traditional flashing turn signals.
